On
Wednesday, May 18, 2005 we were again entertained by our young
Puppeteers. Of course this was preceded by another good meal (you
might get the idea that we like to eat). Our Puppeteers
are a very dedicated group of our young people who truly enjoy
this manner of witness. The story of Christ ran through the
entire program and brought forth considerable applause from
those attending. To the young members of Our Redeemer, we
thank you and want you to know we truly do appreciate all that
you do in your worship and witness to our Lord here in this
place. |

On Saturday, May 14, 2005 our
members were entertained by the Cherub Tone-Chimes, Cherub
Choir, Bells, Puppets, Lights For The World and many more who
shared their talents. As always, this was another superb
performance. All involved in our music and arts programs, from
the Cherubs to adults are the best, putting in considerable
time and effort to make the showing the best it can be.
Naturally, this was preceded by a great meal.
This was a fund-raiser for The Lights For The World Teen
Choir. They will be going on tour from June 6 through June 11.
Their schedule is:
Monday – Trinity Lutheran Church in Savannah, Georgia – Pastor
Schroeder.
Tuesday – Savior of All in Cartersville, Georgia – Pastor
Sieg.
Wednesday – Providence United Methodist Church in Siler City,
North Carolina – Pastor Brannen.
Thursday – Grace By The Sea in Nagshead, North Carolina -
Pastor Isler.
Friday – Return Home (Lighthouse tour along the way). |

Our Candlelight Dinner Theater on April 16,
2005 was a huge success! This was an advance showing of the
upcoming Lights For The World Tour, put on by our youth. As
usual, they gave us a great show, including singing Octavos,
Contemporary Christian music and a group of Spirituals. In
June they will be touring the Southeast, visiting several
congregations and I am sure all will agree that they are well
worth the time to come to see and hear.
The program was proceeded by a great meal of Roast Pork,
Potatoes & Gravy, Sweet & Sour Cabbage, Rolls and Wine Cake. A
great big Thank You to our chef for the evening, Mr. Ken
Wedell. The proceeds received this evening will help to fund
the tour. |

Our Dinner Theater on March 19, 2005 was a
delight for all. The Theme was ORIENTAL NIGHT with Sho Ane and
Friends. The program was Chinese Classical Art Songs, sung by
Sho Ane Seaton, accompanied by Mr. William Toole. Both of
these entertainers are very talented and gave us a very
professional evening's entertainment. Dr. William Dolen told
us "The Tale of the Chinese Noodle. Very interesting.
Nikki and Taylor Fishbach entertained us with a skit, "A
Little Chinese Waitress." This skit was written by Nikki
Fishbach, produced by the Fishbach family, with Taylor playing
the part of the little waitress. A very wonderful performance
by all.
Nikki, age 11, is a student at Aiken Preparatory School. She
has been playing the piano for 6 years. She loves to write and
has a wonderful imagination.
Taylor, age 8 is a student at Aiken Preparatory School. She is
quite the lively actress, and like her sister, loves to play
the piano. Taylor has been involved in dance classes for 3
years.
A very special thanks to Sho Ane, William Toole, Dr. William
Dolen, the Fishbach family for the evening's entertainment,
and to Shangri-La Restaurant for providing the fine meal.
All proceeds from our dinner Theaters benefit our "Lights for
the World Teen Ministry" tour for this year.
If you have
not attended one of these Dinner Theaters, you are missing a
great opportunity to spend an evening out and enjoying the
dinner, program and fellowship. They are held every month from
fall to spring, usually on the Third Saturday. |

On February
19, 2005 we were privileged to enjoy another of the Dinner
Theaters arranged by Ruth Brannen, our Director of Fine arts
Ministry. A great meal of Barbecue followed by Ice Cream
dessert was as usual enjoyed by all. This was followed by an
evening of “Love Songs and a Touch of Gospel” by Joey Traina,
Chris Jackson and Haley Austin. These are some very talented
young people. Oh yes, even our own Ruthie did a number for us.
Overall a very great evening.

March 19th. The cost is only $10.00 for adults and
$3.00 for children. |

A good turnout this evening even
though we always have room for more. Everyone enjoyed the food
first, and then the performance. I am sure they will all be
back for the show on March 16th.

Joey Traina with the mike gets up close. Makes one feel he is
singing just for you. Chris Jackson
does a great job on the piano and also contributes a great
singing voice. Haley Austin assists Joey with another song.
These three young people are great entertainers. Their
performance was greatly enjoyed by all! |

How can we have dinner without our youth servers? It is quite
obvious they enjoy serving us at these dinners. Or are they
perhaps glad it is over? Either way, they do a super job of
keeping the tea glasses and coffee cups full and the food
served in a very efficient manner. They truly are to be
commended for all the work they do here at Our Redeemer, in
areas other than dinners also.
Shown here are: David Beasley, Ashley Greenwood, Callie
Meadows, Meagan Diebold,
Brittany Boysworth, Carmen Meyer and Jessica Kyser.

SATURDAY
NIGHT ALIVE!
- On
October 23, 2004, approximately 35 people enjoyed a fine Chili dinner with Salad
and Ice Cream along with a very special treat provided us by
the Point North Christian Band. If you were one of those
attending, you will agree that it was a great way to spend a
Saturday night. If you were not, shame. You truly missed
another of Ruthie’s great production evenings. This was much
better than the World Series. Truly a great way to spend a
Saturday evening!
These are not just a bunch of young kids wanting to make a
name for themselves singing Gospel music. This is a group of
young Christian men, and a lady, all gainfully employed and very active in
their respective churches as leaders in Music and Youth
Ministry. They are: Kyle Jones, Daniel Roberts, Carrel Davis,
Tony Taylor and Scott Elledge. Scott hides behind a wall of
drums. Elizabeth Brewington handles the sales and Michail
Greer operates the control panel. Daniel Roberts presented a very inspirational
message, Scripture reading and prayer.
My apologies, my
pictures of the band did not turn out well enough to be placed
on this web site.
