Celebrating Our Seniors

 On Sunday, April 23, 2006, the Older Adults Ministries hosted a festival celebrating our seniors. Following the late service, over eighty people – of all ages – enjoyed a pot luck lunch in the fellowship hall. Ray Wans serenaded us with guitar music and our youngest entertainers, directed by Ruthie Brannen, sang several songs and performed a puppet show. During our  “Name that Tune” contest, Ray Wans played a few notes of each song and Mary Jo Wans served as hostess and judge. Bernice Priest held a “Bible Trivia Contest.” Prizes were given for these categories: the oldest person present; the person who lived the fartherest from church; the person with the most grandchildren; and the person with the most great-grandchildren.
