Fusion Worship -11:00 a.m. every Sunday
Worship generally follows the Lutheran Service Book liturgical
order with adjustments due to topic or focus of the day. Use of “Creative Worship” material
as well as bringing the best of other Christian traditions allows for the fusion element. The atmosphere of the service is
more “celebration” and “joyful” in its orientation. We are rejoicing in the presence
of God and our Church family as we worship the great “I Am”. Holy Communion
is offered on the first and third Sundays each month. The fifth Sunday will also be a celebration of the
Lord’s Supper with the use of the liturgy of Communion from the 1941 Lutheran Hymnal as a guide.
Holy Communion:
The Lutheran church believes, teaches
and confesses that the Lord’s Supper is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, under the
bread and wine, given to us Christians to eat and to drink. We hold that the bread and the wine in the
Supper are the true body and blood of Christ and that these are given and received into the mouths of all who commune. Those
who believe the promise: ”Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins,” receive forgiveness
of sins, life and salvation. This promise, along with the bodily eating and drinking, is the main thing
in the Sacrament.
My Faith and Pledge and as I attend the Sacrament:
I confess all my sins, asking God to forgive them and resolve with His help to amend my sinful ways. I
believe that Jesus Christ is my only Lord and Savior from all sin, the power of Saran and eternal death. I
believe that the Risen Christ is really present in the Sacrament and that with the bread and wine I receive His true Body
and Blood. I resolve to rededicate my life to the service of my Lord by regular worship attendance and
thankful living.
